BLACKPINK tour 2023

Mark your calendars: K-pop sensation Blackpink will be holding a concert in Malaysia on 4 March 2023.

This gig is part of Blackpink’s “largest world tour in the history of K-pop girl groups,” and fans in Malaysia are getting a taste of what the show is going to offer. Set to take the stage at the National Stadium Bukit Jalil, concert-goers will be experiencing this show in a newly-refurbished stadium, as the site is scheduled to undergo repair and refurbishment work before the concert.

If you’ve missed out on the opportunity of attending a Blackpink concert in Malaysia back when they first came to the country in 2019, now’s your chance! Although the group is only stopping by for one night, this venue has the capacity to take on nearly 90,000 BLINKs, as opposed to their two-day-long concert at Malawati Stadium, which could only take on 13,000 visitors at a time — meaning that your chances of scoring a ticket to attend this show-stopping concert are slightly higher compared to their last gig.

That’s not all — the band is scheduled to drop a highly-anticipated new album next month. After a two-year-long hiatus, YG-Entertainment confirmed that the South Korean girl band Blackpink will be coming back with new music in August. This month, they are filming the music video for their title track. BLINKs can also look forward to the announcement of the world tour dates of the unreleased album, which is to follow soon after the drop, so keep your eyes (and ears) peeled.

As you wait for their comeback single and album, here’s a snippet of what may be coming soon, captured accidentally during an Instagram Live from YG’s headquarters last week, where the band’s labelmate, “DUMB DUMB” singer Somi, walked into a studio playing an unreleased song.

Information about ticket purchases is not available yet.

Update: The K-pop girl band has announced more information on the Blackpink world tour, titled ‘Born Pink’. According to the newly-released tour schedule, Blackpink is stopping at these cities in Southeast Asia: Bangkok on 7 and 8 January 2023, Hong Kong on 13 and 14 January, Kuala Lumpur on 4 March, Jakarta on 11 March, Manila on 25 March, and Singapore on 13 May.

At the same time, they also teased a new single, ‘Pink Venom’, set for release on 19 August 2022.

The world’s biggest K-pop girl group BLACKPINK has released the dates and cities of their Born Pink world tour.

The world tour is part of the overall plans of the all-girl group around their upcoming album Born Pink, which is scheduled to release in September.

The Born Pink world tour will start on 15 October 2022 and continue through 21 June 2023, spanning four continents — Asia, Australia, Europe and North America. The group are slated to perform in Singapore on 13 May.

Cities where BLACKPINK will perform during Born Pink world tour

The action will begin at Seoul in South Korea before moving to Dallas and Houston in the US on 25 October and 29 October, respectively.

Throughout November, BLACKPINK will mostly be touring North American cities including Atlanta (2 November), Hamilton (6-7 November), Chicago (10-11 November), Newark (14-15 November) and Los Angeles (19 November).

The group will begin its Europe leg on 30 November from London, moving on to Barcelona (5 December), Cologne (8 December), Paris (11-12 December), Berlin (18 December) and Amsterdam (22 December).

The Asia tour will start with a two-day concert in Bangkok on 7-8 January 2023, followed by Hong Kong (13-14 January), Riyadh (20 January) and Abu Dhabi (28 January).

As per the schedule, there will be no concert during February. BLACKPINK will resume their Born Pink world tour on 4 March with a performance in Kuala Lumpur. This will be followed by Jakarta (11 March), Kaohsiung (18 March) and Manila (25 March).

BLACKPINK will hold their concert in Singapore on 13 May, which, as of now, is the last Asian city on their calendar. The group will subsequently perform in Melbourne (10-11 June), Sydney (16-17 June) and Auckland (21 June).

The world tour schedule released by the group ends with the words “AND MORE,” indicating that more cities could be added to the tour.

More about the album Born Pink

The Born Pink world tour will be the third concert tour by the group. Their first was in 2018 named BLACKPINK arena tour. It was followed by the 2018-20 In Your Area world tour.

BLACKPINK’s agency YG Entertainment had said in July that the upcoming world tour would be the largest ever by scale in the group’s history.

The announcement of the highly anticipated world tour came a day after the group announced the release date of its song “Pink Venom,” which is a lone pre-release single for Born Pink.

According to the announcement, the single will be out on 19 August at 12 am EST/1 pm KST.

The Born Pink trailer was released on 1 August. Earlier in 2022, the group collaborated with PUBG Mobile for a special song “Ready for Love.”
