A factory restore erases the information and settings on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod and installs the latest version of iOS, iPadOS, or iPod software.

Get your device ready

1. Make sure that your Mac or PC is updated. If you're using iTunes, make sure that you have the latest version.
2. If you want to save the information on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod, make a backup.
3. Go to Settings > [your name] > Find My, tap Find My iPhone, then turn it off. Learn what to do for an unresponsive device or one that won't turn on. Get help if you forgot your passcode.

Restore your device to factory settings

1. On a Mac with macOS Catalina or later, open the Finder. On a Mac with macOS Mojave or earlier, or on a PC, open iTunes. Find out which macOS your Mac is using.
2. Connect your device to your computer.
3. If a message asks for your device passcode or to Trust This Computer, follow the onscreen steps. Get help if you forgot your passcode.
4. Select your device when it appears on your computer. Learn what to do if your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch is unresponsive or won't turn on. Or get help if your device doesn't appear on your computer.
5. Click Restore [device]*. If you're signed into Find My, you need to sign out before you can click Restore.
6. Click Restore again to confirm. Your computer erases your device and installs the latest iOS, iPadOS, or iPod software.
7. After your device restores to factory settings, it restarts. Now you can set it up as new.

* Restoring an iPhone with iTunes or Finder does not delete your eSIM. Learn how to erase your eSIM, if you need to.

Như các bạn đã biết, hiện tại Apple đã phát hành bản 6.1.6 cho 3gs, đồng thời khóa shsh 6.1.3 lại. Những bạn nào chưa kịp lưu shsh 6.1.3 lại thì không còn cơ hội để nâng cấp lên 6.1.3 để Jailbreak Untethered để unlock hoàn chỉnh. Hiện tại chưa có công cụ tạo Firmware Custom 6.1.6. Chính vì vậy muốn nâng cấp lên 6.1.6 thì chỉ restore Firmware gốc 6.1.6 thôi nhé. Nếu máy bạn nào BB đang là 5.13.04 mà restore lên 6.1.6 thì BB sẽ bị nâng lên 5.16.08 nhé. Còn máy nào BB đang 6.15 thì restore Firmware gốc thì BB vẫn là 6.15.

Bài hướng dẫn của mình sẽ hướng dẫn những bạn nào restore lên 6.1.6 và BB bị nâng lên 5.16.08. Cách làm như sau.

9. Trước tiên các bạn phải download những file sau:

1. Firmware 6.0 iPhone 3GS: tại đây 2. redsn0w 0.9.15b3: tại đây 3. evasi0n: tại đây

II. Bắt đầu thực hiện:

Bước 1: Dùng iTunes restore firmware 6.1. Restore xong để nguyên ở màn hình chưa active Bước 2: Dùng redsn0w chọn Extras -> chọn Select IPSW -> chọn Firmware iPhone 3GS 6.0 mà bạn vừa down ở trên về. Tiếp theo ấn Back rồi ấn Jailbreak. Nếu baseband của bạn đang ở 6.15 thì lúc này bạn bỏ tích ô Install Cydia. Tích vào ô Downgrade from iPadbaseband.

Bước 3: Sau khi Downgrade from iPad baseband xong, các bạn vào kiểm tra xem baseband của mình đã là 5.13 chưa. Nếu chưa thì làm lại

Bước 4: Dùng evasi0n để Jailbreak:

Bước 5: Đảm bảo iPhone của các bạn đã kết nối và ấn nút Jailbreak

Bước 6: Chờ cho evasi0n xử lí đến khi nó hiện dòng này:

Bước 7: Mở màn hình iPhone của bạn và ấn biểu tượng ứng dụng jailbreak (Lưu ý: Chỉ ấn một lần. Khi ấn xong màn hình iPhone của bạn sẽ chuyển màu đen rồi lại trở lại SpringBoard)

Bước 8: Chờ cho evasi0n hoàn tất dữ liệu jailbreak. iPhone sẽ tự khởi động lại. Ở màn hình chính sẽ xuất hiện Cydia:

Bước 10: Vào cydia. Chờ cho Cydia load dữ liệu xong rồi sang tab Search. Tìm ultrasn0w và cài. Cài xong reboot máy sẽ lên sóng
