Clarisonic combined everything you love about your Sonic Cleansing Brush and added some very exciting new features to the Aria but possibly the best news about this launch is the fact that it still remains the same price. Where as you’d expect a high jack in the price due to the slicker design, new battery charger, and features, it still, blessedly, remains the same price.

I purchased my original Clarisonic when they launched it several years ago and I admit I wasn’t terribly impressed. I used it two solid months and expected complete miracles. But the miracle actually happens when you’re not really looking…isn’t that always the way with miracles?

Clarisonic Aria is a slicker design compared to the original. This is less bulky, slicker, with a sexy curve and a high gloss finish. It feels a smidge smaller than the original brush as well with a weighty feel and a design and handle that fits the contour of my hand perfectly. Although a touch heavier than my original brush I like the way this fits my hand…it’s somehow less bulky and fits very comfortably in my hand.

The Aria is pretty feature rich with a new USB-enabled magnetic Universal Voltage Plink Charger and Wall Adapter. Where as before, if you were traveling, you had to be bring the drying stand with you as the charger was attached you now have the option to leave the drying base home and just take along the USB charger and powder adapter. This makes the Aria lighter and more travel friendly. I actually purchased a Mia because my original brush wasn’t exactly travel friendly but not the case with the Aria. She travels perfectly thanks to her new pLink Charger! At home you can slip her back on the drying base which doubles as a charging base as well!

The beautiful thing about the Aria is the fact she has two T-Timer functions for 1 or 2 minute cleansing cycles. I’ve ALWAYS done a two minute cycle with my old brush but found it annoying that it stopped after a minute and I had to click it back on for the second cleaning. Aria can be set to a two minute T-Timer cleansing in a flash. She also has a high, medium, and slow cleansing speeds now as well!

If all this hasn’t convinced you about purchasing a new Aria might I add that I can’t live without a Clarisonic Brush in my life be it Aria or my old brush.

As I mentioned above my first try with the brush was disappointing. It’s the type of product you need to dedicate yourself too as results are subtle over time. It’s funny as you can use the brush daily for six months never notice a difference in your skin but just TRY going without for a week and realizing, “wait a second? why is my skin suddenly bugging out?” Don’t worry your skin isn’t bugging out, it just got used to the Clarisonic prepping it so well for skincare and makeup that not using the brush daily has reverted you back to issues you might have experienced prior to using it! Believe me I’ve been there.

You can’t think of the brush as a cleansing tool. This, it is not. It is however, an extra step in beautifying your skin and prepping it for skincare and makeup. I don’t use my brush to remove my makeup. I do however, use my brush to get my skin squeaky clean and refined. Patchy cheeks, dullness, oil, dirt, this brush will rid you of it all with a daily relationship. That’s right a commitment between you and the brush. You have to be willing to use this daily for the best results. There isn’t a honeymoon period, you can’t expect to use the brush a week with instant results and forget about it next week. You have to commit yourself to it just as you would a good eye cream and this is where it will benefit you.

Yes, $200 is a ton of money but it’s actually worth the money.

I’ve experienced better makeup application, better skincare application, brighter skin, refined skin, and overall healthier looking skin when using the brush daily.

Seriously, if I don’t use it a day or two or I somehow forget (I wouldn’t dare!) I can literally see the difference and feel it. The brush really does work but again, I can’t stress it enough, you have to be willing to use it daily and commit to it to see the best results.

Aria is a feature rich and revved up version of the original Clarisonic and combines some new, great benefits. It’s well looking into if you don’t already own a Clarisonic. And heck, if you do, it’s STILL worth looking into because some of these features do make Aria a better choice when compared to the old unit.
