Michael have repaired the program in the control panel, and uninstalled and reinstalled - even tried a system restore - but still no joy. thanks again stuart sorry that was predictive txt typo on mobile phone ... was meant to say 'i have repaired....' stuartrozier wrote: sorry that was predictive txt typo on mobile phone ... was meant to say 'i have repaired....' So are you saying your issue is resolved? If not, then what version of VMware Workstation and what was the name of the installer .exe you downloaded for that version of VMware Workstation? hello, no still not resolved yet unfortunately - i repaired the installation in control panel, where it gives the option the uninstall, modify or repair / but this didnt help either. its the free version of workstation from their website - workstation 9, I'm plannin on purchasing a liscence key when my 30day trial is up / but only if i can resolve this issue first hopefully. thanks stuart Then the VMware Tools ISO Images are already in VMware Workstation's Working Directory and you can if necessary manually assign the target ISO Image for the target Guest OS to the CD/DVD in the VM's Settings and bypass the VMware Tools command on the menu. hello , thanks again for helping me with this ... might really am an amateur though, an would really appreciate a walkthrough or step by step tutorial on how to do this, |
