While no illnesses have been reported due to these products to date, the recall notice says aflatoxin can be harmful to pets if consumed in significant quantities.

Sunshine Mills said none of its other pet food products are affected by the recall, and the recall is a "precautionary measure."

The family-owned company, headquartered in Red Bay, Alabama, had similar voluntary recalls last fallover aflatoxin concerns.

Pets that have consumed any of the recalled products and exhibit symptoms of illness including sluggishness or lethargy combined with a reluctance to eat, vomiting, yellowish tint to the eyes or gums, or diarrhea should be seen by a veterinarian, the company said in the latest recall.
