Fix 1: Make sure the sound isnt muted

Click the sound icon at the bottom right corner, and drag the slider to adjust the sound volume to medium or large, then play sound again to see if it works.

If the sound problem occurs when headphones or speakers are plugged in to your laptop, make sure your headphones or speakers are working properly.

Step 3: Test by different sound rates
1] Type Control Panel in the search bar on your laptop, and click Control Panel to open it.
2] Ensure to choose View by Large icons or View by Small icons. Then click Sound.
3] In the Playback tab, right click the empty area and select Show Disabled Devices and Show Disconnected Devices.
4] From the list of the playback device, select your audio device and click Properties.
5] Click the Advanced tab.
6] Choose different audio rates one by one and click Test.
7] Then see if the sound restarts to work. Try different rates until your sound begins to work again. Then click Apply and OK to save your changes.
