Recently, every moisturizer I have tried has broken me out. I'm dealing with painful pimples/ inflammation on my cheeks, forehead and nose.I am a redhead and thus, I am cursed with highly sensitive skin. I have tried both Simple Replenishing moisturizer and Cerave moisturizing cream and have been disappointed with both as they've both done little to satisfy my dry/acne combo skin. I switched to using grapeseed oil and fresh aloe as moisturizers, but I wanted something lighter and more well suited to dealing with acne. I've been using my favorite two cleansing products: Shiseido "Perfect Oil" Cleansing Oil, Alaffia Everyday Coconut face wash and diluted witch hazel as a toner. These are improving my skin quite a bit, but I needed a new moisturizer. Whole Foods had Andalou Naturals 1000 Roses Beautiful Day Cream & Heavenly Night Cream on sale for $20. Made for sensitive skin, the certified organic ingredients are impressive, with the vast majority of both creams being plant and fruit oils, vitamins, rose stem cells and Hyaluronic Acid. The package I bought has a smaller ( 1fl oz) jar of the night cream along with the regular sized (1.7 oz) Day Cream for $20. After cleansing, toning, and applying a hydrating serum, I applied a penny sized amount to my face, and gently massaged it in. I woke up this morning with an impressibly noticeable difference in the redness and inflammation of my skin as well as no new pimples at all. My skin is much less dry and feels more comfortable and significantly less parched. After repeating the same regimen this morning I applied the day cream. Needless to say it is just as hydrating and soothing as the night cream. A huge bonus for me is the lovely smell of both creams: sweet floral roses! I'm extremely excited to see how much more my skin improves with consistent use of this product.
