Pony cover fit powder foundation review

Today, I'm reviewing something super exciting for you guys... the new PONY Effect Spring/Summer Collection from Korean makeup artist, Pony! She’s been releasing a lot of new stuff for the Pony Effect makeup line since the end of 2015.

The new PONY Effect S/S 2016 Collection includes the foundation, foundation cushion, powder pact, Sharping Brow Definer, Contoured Brow Color, Stay Put Eye Sticks, Favorite Fluid Lip Tints, and the Pebble Blender. The newly released collection looks so luxurious, classy, and absolutely elegant!

I bought PONY EFFECT SKIN FIT POWDER PACT, a one of the new Pony Effect Collection in Hermo Indonesia. I wished i could bring all of them home just because the packaging are so gorgeous LOL

Description:

A smooth and skin-friendly powder pact containing moisturizing factor that keeps your skin balanced and hydrated. Specially formulated to control sebum, cover blemishes and correct skin tone to achieve a porcelain doll perfect bright & clear skin.

Suitable for all skin type

How to use: After the basic skincare, apply appropriate amount gently on the skin by using the puff.

The Pony Effect line is distributed under Memebox Inc. so I don’t think the quality will be any less than what they have produced earlier.

Packaging:

The packaging come in the rose gold compact and black theme. Seriously, absolutely gorgeous and just exudes luxuriousness and class. The compact is slim, sleek and travel friendly. There is a mirror inside the compact and it also comes with a thin puff.

Texture: The texture is quite thick and the powder was smooth, and noticeable on skin. The puff it comes with works really well in picking and depositing the right amount of product on my face. This powder gives a flawless and smooth finish with a slight bit of extra coverage. That’s always nice to have. I would rather say Pony Effect Skin Fit Powder Pact is more for who wants a powder foundation with high coverage.

Pigmentation: It's pretty pigmented that it can intensify the coverage of your liquid face base so if you're going to use it to set your liquid base, use sparingly. I like using this with bases that tend to fade during wear such as BB Creams because one swipe is all I need to replenish coverage. I even wear this alone on top of moisturizer because I find that it can pass off as powder foundation.

Pony Effect Skin Fit Powder Pact SPF30 / PA++ is a lovely product, the pretty case, the high coverage powder. This powder is good for all skin. It's a better version of your average pressed powder as it has better coverage. This is not a fragrance-free powder and not hydrating enough for me either which is normally what you get for in every compact powder

Overall, I've become so obsessed with her ever since and knowing that she also have her own beauty line. If you're a fan of Pony, like I am, I don't think you'll be disappointed with the collection

Finely milled powder foundation adheres closely to skin without clumping or pilling to smoothen and even out complexion. SPF 40 PA+++ sun protection.

What are the cons of powder foundation?

Powder foundations on dry skin can make the face look dull and flat. Some powder foundations, when used in excess, can also settle into your fine lines and wrinkles and emphasise the texture on your skin.

Does powder foundation show wrinkles?

Sadly, also yes. Since our skin naturally becomes increasingly dry and dehydrated as we get older, a powder foundation only makes things worse. It settles into all of your fine lines, and the matte texture finish instantly ages you. Avoid, avoid, avoid!

Is powder foundation better for summer?

The Benefits of Powder Foundation [Dry or mature complexions can blend powder foundation with a liquid primer to lock in a bit of hydration.] If you're looking for light coverage or a way to control shine, powder foundation is a fantastic option, especially during the hot summer months.

Should you set a powder foundation?

Setting the Foundation: Loose powder helps set your foundation in place, preventing it from shifting throughout the day. This is especially useful if you have oily or combination skin, as it can help control excess shine and keep your makeup looking fresh.
