• One of the more likable characters in this movie is a rapist so I guess you can say that this was a bit difficult to sit through
• The idea of retelling Dangerous Liaisons in 18th century Korea, and adapting the morals and social customs of the original novel to that era, is an interesting one-I’m just not sure Untold Scandal entirely pulls it off. The sets and costumes are gorgeously ornate and the score is quite pretty, but several important characters are somewhat underdeveloped and the fates of two are changed in ways I find distasteful. If you’re especially fond of Korean cinema give it a watch, but stick to Stephen Frears’ 1988 film otherwise.

• I felt like this tried to make rape a good thing and I don’t really like how they developed the whole concept of someone who is a womanizer, finally discovers what it is to fall in love kind a thing... it just felt wrong and over dramatic in the end, for no reason at all to be honest...

• Sebenarnya cukup mengecewakan karena adegan ewita erotiknya sedikit sekali jika dibandingkan Obsessed. Hampir sepanjang film kita menyaksikan gombalan Jo Won yang monoton demi merobek selaput dara Lady Jeong. Bangsawan perawan yang terpaksa menjanda karena jodohnya mati duluan. Dari yang awalnya Jo Won taruhan dengan Madam Jo, apa bisa ewita tuh perawan yang selalu menjaga pandangan dan menutup aurat, sampai berubah jadi romansa klasik witing tresno jalaran suko kulino. Cinta datang karena terbiasa. Pengen punya lukisan porno yang dibuat Jo Won!!!
• Bagus banget yaa make up nya, padahal make up nya untuk merahin bibir pakai bubuk gitu sama pakai sedikit minyak, hebat ya idenya padahal masih jaman dulu, jaman kerajaan. Ah, I thought that because I didn't know the source material I couldn't be disappointed by the adaptation to a new location. But unfortunately this is really just dull. I went in expecting something in the vein of The Handmaiden, but while it's got lovely production values and great writing, it couldn't be further from it.
