Very enjoyable. I bought the first book for my 3rd grader who is an advanced reader..books are for the 12year old range. if you enjoy greek mythology then this for you. Surprisingly, interesting even for an adult. He went through all the books very quickly

Loved it!! I'm a child at heart but I feel like I actually learned some Greek mythology along the way too. Percy is awesome, each book's premise is fun and different while building on the last. Thoroughly enjoyed these quick, fun, light-hearted reads!

Meravigliosi e interessanti i nuovi cinque semidei, loro insieme a Pery ed Annabeth intraprenderanno un viaggio per fermare i piani di Gea. Gli eventi che avvengono durante questi tre libri sono fantastici ed interessanti ma il mio preferito rimane Il Marchio d'Atena. È da questo libro i sette inizieranno ad interagire tra di loro, scavando nel loro passato e scoprendo oscuri segreti. Nico di Angelo rimane il mio personaggio preferito insieme a Leo Valdez.

Fun read. I got into the series again after watching the new TV series. YA isn’t a frequent genre for me but these books were quite fun.

I liked the Heroes of Olympus a lot more than Percy Jackson and the Olympians. The new cast of characters are wonderful, and I love seeing the old cast a bit more mature than when we last saw them. I figured my Greek mythology knowledge was pretty good, but I learned more about life previous to the Greek gods in this series. What's fun is that this knowledge is weaved into the background of the story. Seeing all the demigods grow into their own and work together was a lot of fun. Where as Percy/Annabeth are a minor aspect of the prequel, it's more of a major plot element in this series and I grew to adore those two together. I'd love to seem them again in another story.
The only thing I really didn't like about this series was Nico. After the end of Percy Jackson and the Olympians, I was really excited to see Nico. After Nico made friends and was accepted by the camp, I expected him to be a cool character. Instead, Riordan decided to pretend like Nico hadn't been accepted or made any friends, and he became more whiny and obnoxious than he had ever been. He irritated me pretty much the entire series.

This series is stimulating, adventurous and... educational. The series is intriguing and fascinating. There is not a single page, word, line or paragraph that was dull. This is a series that has the rollercoaster affect. Accept the ups and downs and go along for the ride.

I've enjoyed this series to the max. I loved everything about it! Except that there was no Percy nor Annabeth chapters in the last book but I still liked it. This is defiantly worth reading for!

Highly recommend reading these!! They keep you interested the whole time! Easy read and easy to get lost in for a few hours!

Three awesome and highly engaging books to start off the sequel series Percy Jackson.
Rick Riordan weaves even more Greek mythology into his young adult / Children's Fantasy story in addition to exploring Roman mythology as it adopted the Greek. These three stories are the last I'd read in the sequel series as I had to wait for book 4 and I simply never came back to the series. Still each book was engaging and the third book had a particularly powerful ending then I always kept the series in my mind as to a one day I want to get back.
These books to earn a 5-star rating because they're pretty much perfect for the genre and audience group they're written to. The story is no longer told in first-person but rather from multiple third person points of views. Well it does take out a certain personal aspect to the story it adds a little bit more depth to all the characters we get to meet and see. This story is written pretty much for 14 and older with the main protagonist being between 16 and 17 years of age. It does not get into the extreme angst and drama you will find in many young adult fantasies. The language remains clean well as the romance that does crop up. The action does not ever get graphic but it still remains exciting enough that you never lose interest. You're pulled into the story and feel as if you're riding along in this adventure.
I have not read any of the author's other works but since he has made his stand around this series and others based upon old mythologies set in the same world and universe I think it would be interesting to read them all. At the same time to books are fairly pricey when added all together. I would suggest if you want the entire series and all his Works to do a little bit at a time and have something that could keep a busy reader occupied for a few weeks.

What to say about the first three books in this series, eh?
It's been almost four years since I read the Percy Jackson series and with all the books I've read in between I don't really remember all that happened. Like at all. My clearest memories are from the first book, if that makes sense. And yet, I didn't feel like that stopped me from falling into this series. There were definitely references to previous events, especially for Percy and Annabeth, but I felt like Riordan referenced them so as to help fill in holes and then kept moving with the given plot. If I had time to completely reread the previous series, I probably would, but I didn't feel like I was in the dark, if that makes sense.
I like the blend of Roman and Greek mytholoy. I am more familiar with the Greek version of tales and so it is interesting to see how Riordan paints the similarities and contrast between the two. I also really like how he brings in North American Cherokee stories as a comparison. It creates another layer to the story that I appreciate. I'm eagerly awaiting the next two books in the series from my local library and look forward to finding out what happens next and if certain conflicts can be extinguished before catching like a wild fire.

Absolutely love these books. This is my third time reading them and it never gets old. I’d even say that it has gotten better each time I’ve read them. They are what got me interested in learning about Greek Mythology in the first place. I love having the different points of view that you don’t get in the first series. I thoroughly enjoy having all the new elements in this series compared to the last. There’s never a dull moment with them and you become so enveloped in them that it leaves you never wanting to put the books down. I can already tell that I’ll be going back for a fourth read later on. I never got around to checking out Rick Riordan’s other stories before, but that is something I will definitely be doing this time around.

This is one of my favourite book series I love all the characters Rick Riordan introduces but u will have to definitely read the Percy Jackson and the olympians first if u haven’t already and u will Alsace to read some of the add on books the sword of hades is one of these add insult that I would say u have to read but the rest of them u wouldn’t have to read for sure and u would still have a really good understanding it is definitely worth reading the hole five books in the Serb Rick Riordan is a amazing author

Taken me a while to get to these on my reading list but it was so worth it and just as good as the Percy Jackson series! The author does and incredible job of expanding on the myths of so many generations. Percy Jackson series was the Greek gods, this series encompasses the Roman gods as well as their flipside from the Greek era. The characters are amazing and the adventure never stops and just keeps building flawlessly between books. Looking forward to continuing on through the series.

Love it. I just finished this book again. There are many series in the Percy Jackson series in this order. Percy Jackson and the Olympians, Kane Chronicles, Heroes of Olympus, Magnus Chase and the Gods of Asgard, Trials of Apollo. The Trials of Apollo and Magnus Chase and the Gods of Asgard happen at the same time so you need to read them at the same time. But The Trials of Apollo is longer it and is still going on.

I’ve read all 5 books including The House of Hades and The Blood of Olympus! A lot of my friends said this series was better than the first Percy Jackson series but I didn’t agree. I still liked this series and all the new characters but I guess I was just too loyal to Percy and the other characters in the first series. Still a really great series though!

These were my childhood! I definitely recommend if you liked Percy Jackson. I laughed, I cried, I cringed, I screamed, I didn't put this down until it was over. I want to meet these characters more than anything! :] Do yourself a solid and read these if you aren't doing anything during the quarantine.

Harry Potter Can Suck It
The best children’s fantasy series honestly there are no words to describe how great this book is. It has epic adventures and teenage angst WHAT MORE COULD YOU WANT ?

I loved the Percy Jackson books so much that I was worried I wasn't going to like these, since they didn't focus on Percy any more. BUT he was really only missing in the first one [when he is literally missing].
It was actually really nice to see other characters get to take more page-time - I think one of my favorite characters is Leo. I also thought the introduction of the Roman aspects of the gods to be an awesome touch. Especially because, as is made evident by the direction the story takes, the Romans adopted the Greek gods, but their personalities were slightly different, as the Romans emphasized different values than the Greeks did.
I loved the way those differences were woven into the two camps and the values the two camps had. I was also glad that everyone was separated for only the first two installments. I hate when the separation drags on just to cause issues.
I read these really fast because I needed to know what happened next, so I'm thinking this is going to require a reread soon.

Kids love these. I have been reading their reviews and they hate the movies because they don't follow the books. I get it. As readers we have all been there, BUT in the case of these novels, I think the movies are better. The movies don't follow the books. They are much better plotted, have more tension, and the tension is worlds better.
So, if you're an adult, leave these books to the kids and go watch the movies. [As a reader, that is not something I ever thought I'd say.]
