8. Position patient
9. Put on gloves then apply the tourniquet to pts arm.
10. Palpate and choose a vein, choose correct needle size.
11. Clean the area [in a circular motion]
12. Anchor the vein, remove the cap of the needle and then preform the puncture.
13. Collect blood in the tubes with non-dominate hand, then invert a couple of times.
14. Release the tourniquet while the last tube is
filling.
15. Get gauze ready and remove needle, apply safety, then apply pressure to the site.
16. Dispose of the needle in bio bin and preform the rest of the inversions.
17. Label tube while still with the pt, then thank them and leave.
