A total solar eclipse will occur during the day on April 8, 2024 and will only be visible by only some of the world, including Muncie, IN (weather permitting, with proper eye protection). The solar eclipse will begin on Monday, April 8, 2024 at 1. 52 p. m. , when the Moon starts to block out the southwest side of the Sun (at the 5 o'clock mark) Show The Moon will continue to block out more of the Sun until totality, when the Sun is fully blocked by the Moon. Totality in Muncie begins at 3. 07 p. m. You can safely view this portion of the eclipse, and this short portion alone, without any eye protection because the entire face of the Sun will be completely blocked by the Moon. Here in Muncie, IN, totality will last 3 minutes and 48 seconds, with it ending at 3. 11 p. m. The partial solar eclipse will continue until the entire event ends at 4. 24 p. m To learn more about this solar eclipse and others, keep watching our website and social media pages, or visit the links below TEXAS(click or tap on any column header to re-sort) (rotate screen horizontally for a sortable table) CityTotality StartDuration*Eagle Pass1. 27. 32 PM CDT4. 24Del Rio1. 28. 33 PM CDT3. 24Brackettville1. 28. 47 PM CDT4. 18Carrizo Springs1. 29. 04 PM CDT2. 49Crystal City1. 29. 10 PM CDT3. 16Uvalde1. 29. 41 PM CDT4. 15Carta Valley1. 30. 02 PM CDT2. 38Concan1. 30. 13 PM CDT4. 25Leakey1. 30. 32 PM CDT4. 25Utopia1. 30. 45 PM CDT4. 23Rocksprings1. 30. 49 PM CDT3. 24Vanderpool1. 30. 54 PM CDT4. 26Hondo1. 31. 26 PM CDT3. 22Bandera1. 31. 51 PM CDT4. 04Ingram1. 32. 00 PM CDT4. 26Kerrville1. 32. 07 PM CDT4. 25Harper1. 32. 24 PM CDT4. 21Junction1. 32. 28 PM CDT3. 09Comfort1. 32. 30 PM CDT4. 11Boerne1. 32. 48 PM CDT3. 34Fredericksburg1. 32. 58 PM CDT4. 24San Antonio1. 33. 01 PM CDT2. 03Stonewall1. 33. 19 PM CDT4. 14Mason1. 33. 29 PM CDT3. 46Llano1. 34. 07 PM CDT4. 23Marble Falls1. 34. 33 PM CDT4. 13Dripping Springs1. 34. 51 PM CDT2. 58Burnet1. 34. 52 PM CDT4. 20Brady1. 34. 53 PM CDT1. 54San Saba1. 35. 04 PM CDT3. 47Lampasas1. 35. 25 PM CDT4. 24Kempner1. 35. 45 PM CDT4. 24Copperas Cove1. 36. 00 PM CDT4. 23Georgetown1. 36. 07 PM CDT3. 15Round Rock1. 36. 09 PM CDT2. 47Austin1. 36. 11 PM CDT1. 44Killeen1. 36. 20 PM CDT4. 16Pflugerville1. 36. 25 PM CDT2. 15Harker Heights1. 36. 26 PM CDT4. 10Gatesville1. 36. 46 PM CDT4. 24Temple1. 37. 13 PM CDT3. 44Woodway1. 37. 52 PM CDT4. 12Waco1. 38. 02 PM CDT4. 11Hillsboro1. 38. 43 PM CDT4. 23Stephenville1. 39. 01 PM CDT0. 55Granbury1. 39. 28 PM CDT2. 05Corsicana1. 40. 03 PM CDT4. 09Arlington1. 40. 24 PM CDT3. 20Fort Worth1. 40. 28 PM CDT2. 33Dallas1. 40. 43 PM CDT3. 51Irving1. 40. 43 PM CDT3. 29Fairfield1. 40. 51 PM CDT2. 23Garland1. 41. 11 PM CDT3. 51Plano1. 41. 26 PM CDT3. 29The Colony1. 41. 36 PM CDT2. 42Athens1. 41. 39 PM CDT3. 19Canton1. 41. 48 PM CDT4. 05Greenville1. 42. 15 PM CDT4. 09Commerce1. 42. 43 PM CDT4. 13Mineola1. 42. 45 PM CDT3. 44Lindale1. 42. 58 PM CDT3. 08Sulphur Springs1. 42. 59 PM CDT4. 21Tyler1. 43. 33 PM CDT1. 49Paris1. 44. 00 PM CDT4. 02Pittsburg1. 44. 14 PM CDT3. 31Mount Pleasant1. 44. 17 PM CDT3. 53Gilmer1. 44. 25 PM CDT2. 25Clarksville1. 44. 35 PM CDT4. 20New Boston1. 45. 47 PM CDT3. 35Texarkana1. 46. 56 PM CDT2. 23Eclipse data courtesy of Fred Espenak, NASA/Goddard Space Flight Center, from eclipse. gsfc. nasa. gov.
