The show is hosted by AngryJoe, an over the top character who focuses on next gen gaming and speaks his mind. Joe often has appearances from his closest friends, like Tons0Fun or Gavin Stone, who preview and review games alongside him. The AngryJoe character differs from other reviewers in that he possesses superpowers in the world of the AngryJoeShow, including his self-titled “Cuss Cannon,” Force Lighting and super strength. Most notably he has done battle with Joker on multiple occasions.

In his AngryJoe Adventures Series, Joe sets out after the Evil Corporate Overlords and their henchmen on behalf of all gamers sick of crappy games and terrible sequels. In the AJS world, Joe obtained his power from his jacket, but can now transform himself intro AngryJoe from his mild mannered public identity, “Joe,” who makes regular appearances on the weekly AngryJoeShow. His only weakness as “AngryJoe” that has been shown is becoming depowered and vulnerable after playing a crappy game for too long, one of the reasons he tends to stick to game previews, top reasons and announcements on new games. Despite the “Angry” Joe name, his character isn’t “overly” angry. Though not one to shy away from profanity, he often prefers to use geek culture cuss words such as “frak” and “frick.”

On May 30th, 2010, Joe revealed a new look for the show complete with a new background, new friends to work with and a new character called "Corporate Commander". This of course is a reference to the Cobra Commander from "G.I. Joe". In this new show setup, Joe will fight for gamers everywhere and fight the evil forces of Corporate Commander and anyone who tries to give the people misinformation and bad games.

NO he is a loud mouth idiot. Who sucks at plsying games. Watch him play witcher 3 or dying light. His reviews suck.

Joe's good people. He calls 'em as he sees 'em. You don't always have to agree with him. Personal opinion is key. But you gotta love how he actually is truthfull and honest with what these devs do. Especially when they're trying to take our money.

The best thing about Joe is that his reviews often feel very gamer-related. He is a good source for opinion when you are on the fence and other reviews/footage haven't helped make up your mind. He seems to review from a place of love (for gaming) and passion, which is why he gets so memorably worked up when something disappoints him.

He's got a good thing going, and I may not agree with his views (or watch him often), but a reviewer with his approach is always a good thing.

He may be a tool and most of his reviews are immature stupidity BUT his destiny review was spot on. Gave credit where it was due at the same time all his criticism was unbiased facts. 6 was perfect score for destiny.
