Innisfree no sebum mineral prime review năm 2024

I’ve been using primers on and off for a while now. My first primer was actually purchased in Korea at an Innisfree some 6 or 7 years ago. Innisfree wasn’t as popular around that time but that’s where I got started on Korean skincare. It’s nice to see how it’s really exploded in recent years.

I’m currently the owner of three different primers: the Goodbye Pore Ever Essence Primer by Etude House, Face it Velvet Skin Primer by The Face Shop and the No-Sebum Primer from Innisfree. I will review the other two in the future but for today I will be focusing on the No-Sebum Mineral Primer. If the name looks familiar, it’s because I also reviewed another product but in a powder form. I spoke quite favorably of the No-Sebum Mineral Powder and I have to say, I also think highly of this primer.

Primers are applied after moisturizer and before foundation or BB cream. Once you apply it to your skin, it leaves a silky finish thus enabling your makeup to glide on evenly and easily. I’ve noticed that with the cooperative work of this primer and the No-Sebum Mineral Powder, I’m blotting a lot less these days. Even after a roasting hot afternoon, my makeup surprisingly & miraculously manages to stay on me.

Primers are great as they essentially create a layer between your skin and your makeup. They help to reduce the appearance of your pores, fine lines and wrinkles. Now for some this may be a bad thing as primers can clog pores and lead to breakouts if it’s not properly removed. Therefore, always make sure to wash your face with a good foam cleanser. I have a two step process that I follow religiously. I always remove my makeup with a cleansing oil or lately my Tony Moly Relaxing Aqua Sherbet Cleanser and follow up with a foam cleanser (currently, Etude House Baking Powder B.B Deep Cleansing Foam).

Description: The sebum controlling primer smoothly refines pores and fine lines as it presents you with a shine-free complexion. Directions: After your daily skincare routine, apply an appropriate amount and lightly spread onto areas where excess shine is a concern and gently pat to finish.

As you can see, it’s transparent. Once you blend it out, you’ll immediately note a difference in the way your skin feels. You don’t need a whole lot so a small bit would suffice. I suggest testing it out and finding which is the right amount for you.

Blended and pat to a finish!

Innisfree No-Sebum Mineral Primer is made with Jeju natural mineral and natural originated mint. It comes in a small tube. Price wise, it’s cheaper than the Face Shop’s primer and just a slight bit more than Etude House. Do keep in mind though that with primers, you don’t need a whole lot for it to work. If you apply too much primer, your makeup could appear cakey and your skin could look uneven so use it sparingly. It’s also important to wait for the primer to dry before you proceed to apply foundation or BB cream.

While this product will create a smooth canvas for your foundation or BB cream application and keep your oil at bay for some time (really depends on how oily you are), it definitely won’t keep you oil free for many hours without the need of blotting or powdering. I know my oilies well and I know it’s going to take more than a miracle for them to be gone. So as long as a product doesn’t make me oilier than what I already am, I’m content. The No-Sebum Mineral Powder score major points with me as it keeps my makeup in place for a good 6-8 hours.

Here’s the good: – 6 free (no paraben, talc, artificial coloring, animal derivatives, mineral oil, artificial fragrances). – effective at holding my makeup in place – affordable (some might find this price a bit expensive but remember you don’t need that much so this tube will last you for some time) – a lot of product

And the bad: – won’t keep you oil free for an extended period of time

I struggled to come up with a con for this primer. It performs pretty well and reaches my expectations so I’m pretty happy with it. If you are using this, I’d love to hear your thoughts on it!

Innisfree’s No-Sebum Mineral Powder is one of the popular K-beauty powders and there are even several other versions such as No-Sebum Blur Powder and No-Sebum Moisture Powder. I also came across the No-Sebum Mineral Colour Powder for colour correction!

Personally, I like to use a powder only on the T-zone area of my face which can get a bit oily by the end of the day (and VERY oily in summer). The rest of my face is dry so I avoid powdering those areas :3

Keep reading to hear my opinion on the No-Sebum Mineral Powder!

The Packaging:

The powder comes in a mint green plastic tub. After unscrewing the lid, you will find a small, soft puff applicator.

There is a hygiene seal when you first open the product and underneath, there are tiny square-shaped holes to disperse the powder. When you invert the tub, the powder falls through onto the puff. This can lead to some powder being trapped on the plastic under the puff (see 2nd pic).

The packaging feels sturdy however one thing which bothers me is that when I screw the lid on, it doesn’t line up with the base of the tub perfectly. However, I have purchased this powder before and didn’t have this problem – must be a manufacturing error!

The Consistency:

The powder is finely milled and is a plain, white powder so it will not even out the skin tone (unlike the No-Sebum Blur Powder which contains pigments).

The powder blends easily into the skin and it has a very slight mint scent.

The Performance:

On its own, the powder helps to even out the texture, leaving my skin looking smoother. If I touch my skin, it feels really soft and smooth!

On top of make-up, I find this powder can make drier areas of my face look a bit cakey so I use it on my oilier T-zone only. It helps to control sebum production and my T-zone looks less oily. However on really hot and sweaty days, it doesn’t stop my face getting shiny after a couple of hours

Another way I like to use this powder is on my hair when its greasy – like a dry shampoo. It is very effective at mattifying the hair at its roots so you can go another day before washing your hair. Magic!

Pros:

Softens and smoothes texture on skin

Puff applicator is soft and easy to use

Lasts a long time for a small tub!

Helps control sebum production on oily areas

Cons:

Powder can collect under the puff which can get a bit messy

Can cause make-up to look a bit cakey on dry areas

Doesn’t hold up on really hot days

Overall Rating:

4/5

Innisfree No-Sebum Mineral Powder helps to smoothe and soften texture on the skin as well as control sebum on oilier areas. It works well as a dry shampoo on greasy hair days and I find the soft puff applicator easy to use.

This can make make-up look a bit cakey on drier areas of the skin and sometimes the powder can fall through and collect under the puff though that’s not a big issue for me.

Overall, I would recommend this powder to those with combination skin who are looking for a good powder to set the oilier areas of their face. This may be too drying for those with dry skin to use to set their make-up. For those with oily skin, this may not control sebum production enough.
