Android YouTube app randomly pauses itself

Device: Google Pixel 3XL
OS: Android 9
Build: PQ2A.190405.003
YouTube App Version: 14.14.51
YouTube Premium: Yes
Every single video, literally EVERY video, will at some point pause itself during play. This is not because of poor internet speeds, it happens over 4G Data, WiFi, doesn't matter where I am or how I am connecting to the web, it WILL pause EVERY video without fail!
To say that this is really driving me nuts, is a galactic understatement!! This has been going on for months, with multiple application updates and device updates, and NEVER gets fixed. I've sene multiple posts around the web with people saying they're having the same issue, but no fix anywhere!
There are two things I've noticed so far when it pauses:
1] When you resume play, the sound is terrible. You'll go from a nice rich deep sound to a no-bass high-trebble phone-call sound quality. Maybe this is the very issue causing the pausing? Audio streaming?
2] If I pause the video myself, even if it's only for a few seconds, and resume play, then approximately 15-30seconds later it will pause itself and have the audio issue. Even if it has previously paused itself before I paused it, this will happen.
Clearly, there is a problem with the application itself. It would be nice to see a fix soon to this extremely annoying problem.

Been having this issue with every version of the Android YouTube app and Chrome for the past couple years. But [suprisingly] never on the Windows desktop in a browser. It's a pathetic bug making YouTube unusable on an Android device...

It started with Youtube a couple weeks ago and now I guess my whole phone is infected because now when I am playing something on Netflix or Spotify the video or song randomly pauses and plays and sometime the volume changes. I think it's because of the earphone I use because they are pretty old I will try these apps with a new earphone and update you whether it was the earphone or something else.

Same here and its absolutely driving me crazy. I battle with my phone pixel 3 several times a day with this bug. Idk how youtube doesnt catch this with analytics. I keep updating app hoping for a fix but its not fixing it. This is 100% a bug.
