Aritaum full cover stick concealer review

Hey everyone! I am back with the first review for the year! I actually bought this concealer several months ago when I was searching for a product to cover all the dark spots on my skin from past acne~

.

.

Initially, I didn’t really pay much attention to Aritaum’s base products because I have never had any experience with the brand. However, I watched a commercial [video demonstration] on YouTube that was released by Aritaum and I was blown away by it’s coverage! Without any hesitation, I quickly purchased it! Check out the video [here].

I was debating on weather to get the BB Cream instead but you get so much concealer in one tube, it would last you forever! My cousin bought the BB cream and she quite liked it!

Ingredient list:

Sorry guys, I had serious trouble trying to translate the ingredients list and I couldn’t find an English list online. However, I could work out that the first 3 ingredients are: mineral oil, titanium dioxide and zinc oxide. Personally, I avoid products with mineral oil because I feel that it would break me out. OTL Thankfully, this product didn’t seem to break me out! I did read about some users having a reaction to this… >.< Perhaps, if you have sensitive skin, reconsider purchasing this concealer~ You could check out the stick concealer which may be less heavy!

You can access the ingredients list in Korean [here].

.

Pros:

  • Full coverage!
  • Long lasting
  • A little goes a long way [you only need a tiny bit for your entire face]
  • Practical packaging
  • Creamy and easy to blend

Cons:

  • Can become cakey if your skin is dry
  • Only 2 shades are available

.

Swatch:

.

The concealer was able to fully conceal the black liquid liner! OTL

.

Verdict:

Overall, I really liked this concealer! I am truly amazed by the coverage! Some days, I can go out with just the concealer and some loose powder to set my make-up! Thankfully, the shade Natural Beige is a perfect match for my skin tone~ I think those who have dark spots/hyper-pigmentation from past acne will love this! It really covers up everything, giving you a nice foundation to create a flawless complexion, even if its only temporary~ There is so much product in one tube that I don’t know when I will ever finish it! It has been months and I am nowhere near half way. OTL

I would recommend this product for those who are looking for a heavy duty concealer that can provide full coverage. However, this might not work very well for those with dry/flakey skin. Whenever I apply this product onto my chin [that is dry from using acne treatments], it would become cakey. So for those with drier skin, you may be use moisturise prior to application~ From my first experience with Aritaum base products, I will look forward to trying out other products~

The "Full Cover" line from Aritaum is a newer product line and I think it'll be a permanent collection. There's foundation, 3 types of concealers [stick, cream and liquid], and also a makeup fixer spray. I was really attracted to the duo concealers because of its texture and the fact that they're a duo - I feel like I could mix them up.

The two shades are slightly yellow toned beige and orange tone beige - the left one shade is lighter than the orangey one. Both are not exactly my shade - the left one is too light, the right one is too dark / orange. That's the one thing I like personally because that way I could mix up both of the shades to achieve shades that I need.

This product have a slight 'makeup'-y scent. Also it has the funniest texture ever. It's like watery when you touch the product, but it turns into a more creamier [heavier] texture when applied and blended into the skin.

The concealer as the name suggest, has high coverage and relatively easy to blend. Of course it's easy to mix the two colors too. I found that using stiff concealer brush / fluffier brush to apply this concealer works, but I think it works best applied with fingers. Despite of it's creamy texture, it doesn't feel heavy or cakey - though it might feel a little heavy when applied under the eye.

As much as I love its texture and coverage, there's one thing I can't stand about the product - the lasting power sucks! Like in 3 hours after application, my redness and blemishes were totally exposed. Even when I applied it under my foundation [I thought it erases off because of my foundation..] it completely erases the whole foundation I layered over the concealer.

I think it works ok for my under eye - especially because of the yellow tone one because it really could brightens up my eyes. But sometimes I found that it turned kinda sticky - so I need more powder to make it less sticky - that means the powder will make my under eye drier and accentuates the lines @_@ But if I didn't powder my under eye - usually my eyeliner will totally transfers to my under eye [I like to do cat eye look so...] and that doesn't happen with other concealer!

Overall, I'm thinking 3 out of 5 stars for this product. The coverage is super, super good, and also the texture is very blendable. But I didn't have a very enjoyable experience with this concealer. So it's a very so-so product. However, the price is pretty good for a product like this, I think among all other similar products this is the cheapest one.

I tried to read other review from Korean about this product, but almost nobody talked about the long lasting. Maybe because I have an oily skin [but this product is said to work better for people with oily skin..]. Anyway, I saw more good review about the liquid type concealer - so I might be trying that later!

Are stick concealers good?

A: Stick concealers are solid in form and are best for those with oily skin or for spot-concealing small blemishes. Liquid concealers are runnier in texture and are great for covering larger areas or for those with dry skin.

Which concealer is best liquid or stick?

However, liquid concealers may not provide sufficient coverage for those with more severe skin issues. Stick concealers often provide fuller coverage with just a few swipes, making them the go-to choice for those with more severe dark circles, blemishes, or discoloration.
