Hạn chế đi lại liệu còn tác dụng?
Theo dữ liệu về tình hình Covid-19, ACI bày tỏ sự ủng hộ một "cách tiếp cận khoa học dựa trên rủi ro" trong việc nới lỏng các lệnh hạn chế đi lại.
"Việc phủ rộng vaccine thực sự là điều kiện thuận lợi để khôi phục ngành du lịch. Như chúng ta có thể thấy hiện nay, nhiều thị trường lớn đang mở cửa và rất nhiều quốc gia đã nhận ra rằng việc hạn chế du lịch hoặc áp đặt các lệnh hạn chế đi lại thực sự không giúp ích được nhiều. Chưa nói đến việc, thậm chí nó còn gây ra những tác hại lớn hơn. Vì vậy, không có lý do gì để tiếp tục gây ra những gián đoạn lợi ích kinh tế xã hội của ngànhvận tải hàng không và du lịch", ông Lucas nhấn mạnh.
Với tốc độ tăng trưởng như hiện tại, ACI dự kiến tổng lưu lượng hành khách sẽ phục hồi như mức trước đại dịch vào năm 2024.
Tuy nhiên, với các thị trường phát triển du lịch nội địa lớn như Mỹ, thời gian phục hồi dự kiến có thể là vào năm 2023. Trong khi đối với các thị trường có tỷ lệ lưu lượng phụ thuộc nhiều vào quốc tế thì sẽ không thể phục hồi trước năm 2025.
