Realtek RTL8812BU USB3 Wireless Adapter works great and was super easy to install. That is, just connected antenna that comes
with the USB3 WIFI dongle and plugged it into my 7 year old Dell XPS 8700 Desktop PC. My windows 10 system recognized the adapter and boom, it was ready to go. It comes with a small disk with driver[s]; however, I did not have to use it. Widows automatically found & installed drivers.
In Device Manager I disabled the existing on-board WiFi adapter which is only single band 2.4 Ghz. The Realtek adapter recognized my available networks and I connected to the 5 Ghz. Performed "Google
Internet Speed Test" : download speed is now more than five times faster.... Upload speed is approx. ten times faster. { close to 300 Mbps download & just under 200 Mbps Upload } Another nice feature is that the dongle w/ antenna attached can be plugged into a vertical or horizontal USB port & takes up very little space. Extremely easy and very inexpensive upgrade! Highly recommend!
