Lossy Our intelligent lossy optimization typically produces savings of at least 60% of the initial file weight; with savings of 80% to 90% occurring frequently. Our default intelligent lossy algorithm has been specifically designed to always produces images of outstanding quality, and never of unacceptable quality degradation. In most cases, you will not be able to tell the optimized result from the original, even upon close inspection. We recommend this mode to most of our users, and for most use-cases. Lossless This mode will save as much file weight as possible without altering a single pixel, hence the name "lossless" - meaning no information is lost whatsoever. Use this mode when your requirement is that the image should retain 100% of its initial visual information - such as for sensitive brand and marketing visuals. Expert Expert view is designed for users who are already familiar with image processing and optimization. Using this mode you can set different quality levels for lossy JPEG and PNG optimization, preserve certain entries in the EXIF metadata, and automatically orient your images. You can even set a custom chroma subsampling value for JPEG images. Image Resizing StrategiesWhen you need to generate sets of images in different sizes or dimensions, our easy-to-use image resizing interface has you covered. Does the plugin remove EXIF and/or IPTC metadata?EWWW IO will remove metadata by default, but if you need to keep the EXIF/IPTC data for copyright purposes, you can disable the Remove Metadata option. Ewww is a game changer. Do yourself a favor and install it, you'll never go back to not using it!
I came to leave this message to say "Nice optimizer, works awesome" but STOP posting spam in my admin for my site. I get it you need reviews but please lay off on the desperation. I would rather come comment on my own then be harassed to come comment.
I have been using EWWW for 3 years now and never had any issues. So, kudos to that and for this great tool.
I've used 4 other image optimizers before buying and using the premium version of Ewww Image Optimizer. Our images already optimized by a competitor plugin were improved by Ewww. Ewww worked flawlessly and we saw our scores with Google Page Speed Insights and GT Matrix improve significantly (we're now getting 95 and 96 with Google and 100 at GMetrix) I admit, I don't love the name, but I'm a fan of the plugin. Highly recommended.
