I use this mask weekly/fortnightly depending how my skin is. It has a gorgeous smell and is cooling on the skin when applied. It comes off easily with a wash cloth. My skin is left feeling soft and clear. When used regularly it helps to keep skin clear and controls my oily skin. I often dab a tiny amount onto skin as a target spot treatment

I’ve been using this mask for 2 years now and can say that I’ve been loving the results. I love masks that I can apply with my hands or brushes which is why this mask is perfect for that. I love the strong tea tree smell and have noticed my skin’s texture improving due this ingredient. Although it’s a little pricey, I would say it’s worth it.

This is one of my favourites for when my face is particularly ridden with hormonal acne. I absolutely adore the smell of tea tree and appreciate it's benefits for the skin, and the effect that it has minimising pimples and pores. It also has a really nice cooling sensation created by the tea tree which I really like and find quite pleasant. The product does take a little longer to wash off then a regular mask but is well worth it.

Tips

It's important not to lather this product on too thick, and to not leave it on any longer than the recommended time. Tea tree can be really drying on the skin when left using too much for too long and this product is no exception. It's also important to follow with a really good moisturiser! Otherwise your skin will want to produce more oil to hydrate itself in turn making your pimples worse!

Ideal for

Ladies with blemishes, pores, blackheads ect.

This face mask has a really really strong tea tree smell, which you would expect because it is a tea tree mask. It feels like mask is working really well and my skin was left clean, but I it did not reduce my pimples or pores. It shouldn't be left on the face for more that 15 minutes, because you really have to scrub it off if left on longer.

Hi! Today I have The Body Shop Tea Tree Skin Clearing Clay Mask to talk about. This is the first time, I purchased anything from The Body Shop. And now I know how much I have missed by the brand. As far as skincare is concerned, I religiously use a face mask, be it a clay mask or some hydrating mask. It all depends on my skin’s need. I use up my masks rather quickly. And this gives me the chance to keep trying different face masks, especially for oily skin.

The Body Shop is a brand I have been wanting to try for the longest time. So I picked up two of their popular face masks – Tea Tree Skin Clearing Clay Mask and The Charcoal Glow Mask. Both these masks were on my wish list for a few years. I was very excited to try them. But, today I will talk about the Body Shop tea tree skin clearing clay mask.

Product Description – Our Tea Tree Skin Clearing Clay Mask helps cleanse, cool and refresh blemished skin without over drying. Enriched with Community Trade Tea Tree Oil, the mask helps clear impurities whilst absorbing excess sebum, leaving skin feeling soothed and looking clearer.

100% vegan

Enriched with Community Trade Tea Tree Oil from the foothills of Mount Kenya.

Soothes and calms skin while absorbing excess oil.

The Body Shop is one brand that needs no introduction. Everyone, but me have already tried the vast range of skincare, that is available hehe! This global brand is a vegetarian/vegan and cruelty free, since it was founded in 1976. They have a wide range of products from skincare, hair care, fragrance, body care as well as makeup. I have very oily skin that is  prone to acne. I try to keep a check on the acne by using clay based masks like the Origins Rose Clay Mask, Himalaya Herbals Purifying Neem Pack, Pixi Glow Mud Mask on a regular basis.I learned about tea tree oil and it’s benefits not long ago. Since I am already running low on my L’Oreal Pure clay masks, this was the best time to get some new face masks. 😀

The Packaging of the Body Shop Tea Tree Clay Mask is green in color, which looks natural to me. It is a small tub with 110gms of product. I don’t mind the packaging as I always use a spatula to scoop the mask from the tub. But a soft squeeze tube is always preferred.

The mask inside is a clay based face mask that is aqua green in color. The consistency and the texture of the mask is soft and creamy smooth. Therefore it is easy to apply unlike my Dead Sea Mud Mask which is thicker in comparison to this mask. It has a fresh minty scent to it. I have a little bottle of tea tree oil and this mask smells exactly like the tea tree oil. I just love the scent. However, after application and once the mask starts to dry, the scent fades away.

The Body Shop tea tree skin clearing clay mask contains some amazing ingredients that are also natural like –

Tea Tree Oil – Tea Tree is a therapeutic herb with antibacterial, anti-fungal and a natural antiseptic. It is an essential oil that is harvested from the leaves of tea tree plant. It is used as an effective home remedy and successfully treats various skin problems like cuts, fungal infection, rashes, dry scalp, blisters, insect bites to name a few. Tea tree oil has proven to soothe redness of the skin and eczema.

Tamanu Oil – Tamanu oil has recently been picking traffic in the beauty industry for its magical skincare properties. It helps in reducing inflammation, hyper-pigmentation, acne scars and other skin conditions. While simultaneously destroying acne causing bacteria and reducing the pain. It is like an ultimate healing ingredient.

Kaolin Clay – This is my favorite type of clay for face mask. It helps to absorb excess oil, dirt and impurities without being too stripping. This clay helps to firm the skin and eliminate fine lines and wrinkle.  It contains nutrients that ensures the product stays fresh for longer time.

Glycerin – A natural moisturizer that prevents dehydration. It helps to balance the water level but can also cause some irritation to sensitive skin.

The application is as usual. I apply a thin layer on my face and neck. It tingles and feels a little cool for sometime, which I like. I leave it on for around 15-20 minutes. However , if I take a nap it stays on for a little longer. [I have a problem. The moment I lie down in 5 minutes I go to sleep. Hehe!] After it dries completely I wash it off using my damp round little sponge. Using the sponge helps to gently exfoliate my skin. It is easy to wash off this mask like the Derma-e Anti Wrinkle Vitamin A glycolic mask.

The Body Shop Tea Tree Skin Clearing Clay Mask works so well for my oily skin. It absorbs excess oil and helps to prevent any breakouts. Even though is helps to absorb excess oil, it does not dry my skin. It makes my skin smooth and clean. Right now I am having the best skin days, thanks to regular use of this mask and some of my other favorites that I have already spoken about. Currently, I am reaching out to this mask more often and I don’t feel any whiteheads or blackheads on my face. I have used this mask twice a week for almost 3-4 weeks and I am loving the results.

The Body Shop Tea Tree Skin Clearing clay mask gives similar results to my Sephora Mud Mask and Himalaya Neem Face Mask in helping me control the acne that I have recently started experiencing around my chin area. I also use this tea tree clay mask as a spot treatment if any acne tries to pop up. It calms them down and the reduces redness. I don’t have any redness on my skin so I can’t comment on that but it definitely calms down the new acne flare ups, without drying the skin.

Overall, I am glad I tried this mask. I can say it is worth the hype and great reviews.  I also want to mention, that this mask has helped in fading the few acne marks that are on my chin. This is one of the best masks for oily skin. It is also not drying or feel harsh on the skin. Because of the tea tree oil it also smells so good. The natural ingredients and the vegan quality makes it suitable for people with dry and sensitive skin too. However, I will suggest to do a patch test, before using in case your skin is very sensitive. 🙂 Have you tried this mask? Of course, most of you have! What are your thoughts? Let me know in the comments. 🙂

Until next time stay bright, beautiful and flawless! 🙂
