It is a memory limitation of 32 bit Windows. We're aware of this and are looking for a work-around.

Does it mean I will not see this problem with a Win7 64bit ?

Unfortunately it would have the same problem in 64 bit Windows, where Windows limits the virtual memory size of each process.

When i try to copy project to slave the following error appears. "Out of memory while expanding memory stream"

my machine is Windows 7 64bit [16gb ram]and my slave machines are setup as vm - xp 32bit[3gb ram]

testcomplete version 8.10

Theres no issues connecting to the remote VM, I have mannually moved the project there also and it seems to work, but would prefer to use this method

I'm having a problem uploading a 20 Meg plain text file. I'm using version 2.1.0 build 119 and get the error message.

Out of memory while expanding memory stream

I may have downloaded the file as binary from another server, I'm not sure and am going to check that now.

If I transfer the file as binary I do not appear to get the error message.

Out of memory while expanding memory stream

This is quite possible as WinSCP loads files transfered in ASCII mode first to memory, where it converts them. And only after that they are saved to file [when downloading] or trasfered [when uploading].
