Is the side of a square is increased by 25% then its area is increased by?

A) 25%

B) 55%

C) 40.5%

D) 56.25%

Correct Answer:

Description for Correct answer:
Increase in area

\( \Large =25+25+\frac{25 \times 25}{100} \)

use formula \( \Large (x+y+\frac{xy}{100}) \)

\( \Large =50+6.25=56.25\% \)

Solution(By Examveda Team)

Suppose length of sq is “x”
Then its area is x2
Now increase is side by 25%
Therefore x + x of 25% = 5x/4
And it's area = 25x2/16
Increase in area x2 - 25x2/16 = 9x2/16
Percentage in area increase = 56.25%

Which side of a square is increased by 25% find the percentage change in its area?

x+x+x×x100=2x+x2100=25+25+25×25100=56.25%

What will be the increase in area if the side of a square is increased by 30?

∴ The area is increased by 69%.

What is the percentage increase in area when the square length increased by 20%?

percentage increase in are =44%

What is the area of a regular square having a side of 25 cm?

We know that the area of a square is given by s 2 , where s = length of the side. It is given that the side s = 25 cm. Therefore, Area = s 2 = 25 × 25 = 625 sq.
