Ingredients

Directions

Apply generously 15 minutes before sun exposure. Reapply: after 80 minutes of swimming or sweating; immediately after towel drying; at least every 2 hours. Sun Protection Measures: Spending time in the sun increases your risk of skin cancer and early skin aging. To decrease this risk, regularly use sunscreen with a Broad Spectrum SPF value of 15 or higher and other sun protection measures including: limit time in the sun, especially from 10 a.m.2 p.m.; wear longsleeved shirts, pants, hats and sunglasses. Hey y'all!

So I decided to visit the beach with my friend last week for the first time in a while. Since I have very pale, sensitive skin I knew that I had to load up on SPF to keep myself from burning in the sun. So I wore:

Elta MD UV Clear Broad Spectrum SPF 46 on my face, ears, and neck

and

Neutrogena Beach Defense SPF 70 on the rest of my body.

We were only at the beach for 2 1/2 hours (going on 3) and that day I reapplied my SPF 3x since we were directly in the sun.

I burned EVERYWHERE. On my arms, shoulders, legs, butt, feet, any piece of skin that exposed to the sun was to a crisp... except for my face and my neck. My face and my neck weren't pink whatsoever and still aren't - the only thing is that I freckled a lot (which was expected), but no burns! I bought and have been using the Neutrogena Beach Defense SPF 70 because my friend recommended it and its one of the only full body SPF's that didn't break me out but after that accidental test, I have 3 things to say:

A) the Neutrogena SPF 70 is not the best product for when you're in the direct sun and have really pale skin

B) Elta MD really is a godsend. Expensive, but it DEFINITELY works!

C) Any sunburn lotions y'all recommend and/or new full body sunscreen 🤣 I've been using loads of Amlactin right now for the burns, not sure where to go next for the new body sunscreens that wont break my bank
