The 2023 Range Rover Sport has no shortage of engine options. This includes a new twin-turbo V-8 engine and a new plug-in hybrid (PHEV) — to go along with the time-tested six-cylinder engine options. Here is the horsepower output for each 2023 Range Rover Sport engine option:

  • Two variations of a turbocharged 3.0-liter inline-six with a 48-volt hybrid system: 355 hp (P360 SE trim) and 395 hp (P400 SE Dynamic trim)
  • Plug-in hybrid (3.0-liter inline-six with an electric motor): 434 hp (P440e Autobiography trim)
  • Twin-turbocharged 4.4-liter V-8: 523 hp (P530 First Edition trim)

When equipped with the twin-turbo V-8 engine, the Range Rover Sport boasts a 0-60 mph acceleration time of 4.3 seconds. All Range Rover models have an all-wheel drive system, an adjustable air suspension, and an eight-speed automatic transmission.

Land Rover claims that the P360 SE and P400 SE Dynamic trims with the turbo six-cylinder engine get an estimated fuel economy of 20 city/25 highway mpg, and the P530 trim with the twin-turbo V-8 engine gets a gas mileage of 15 city/20 highway mpg. The efficiency ratings are not yet available for the P440e Autobiography trim with the plug-in hybrid system. However, it has an estimated 48-mile electric driving range.

Land Rover also plans to release an all-electric Range Rover Sport. However, the Range Rover Sport EV likely won’t be released until 2023 as a 2024 model.

Notable exterior design changes include smaller grille openings, slimmer headlights, shorter overhangs, and smoother surfaces. Also, the rear section has a more modern look, with full-width lighting elements.

Additionally, the redesigned Range Rover Sport has a longer wheelbase, which results in more rear-seat legroom. Notable interior features include:

  • 22-way power front seats with heating, cooling, and massaging functions
  • 13.7-inch digital gauge cluster
  • Curved 13.1-inch infotainment system touchscreen with Amazon Alexa voice commands and over-the-air updates
  • Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone integration
  • Wireless charging
  • 29-speaker Meridian sound system

The all-new 2023 Land Rover Range Rover Sport luxury SUV was already released, so customers can order it now. While the 2023 Range Rover Sport costs more than the 2022 Range Rover Sport, the new design and new engine options might make it worth the higher price.
